The 153-acre park features a distinctive spray fountain, bocce courts, disc golf course, horseshoe pits, outdoor gym, sand volleyball court, Together Treasure Valley Dog Island, playground, tennis courts, lighted softball diamonds, soccer, cricket and football fields and a reservable picnic shelter. 

Bernardine Quinn Riverside Park is a 31-acre park and home to the popular 22-acre Quinn's Pond. Swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing are popular activities at the park. Amenities include fishing docks, walking paths, a pollinator garden, improved pond access and a shelter with seating.

Construction crews rebuilt the Thurman Mill Diversion Dam with Wave Shaper, and the City opened Phase I of the Boise Whitewater Park in June 2012. City crews continue tuning the main Wave Shaper device (between the concrete walls) as the Boise River flows fluctuate, creating different waves for surfing or kayaking year round.

Borah Park is a 13-acre site featuring an outdoor pool, splash pad, community garden, small picnic shelter, reservable picnic shelter, playground, open play areas, restrooms, chess tables and public art. 

Caldwell Memorial Pool is open for summer 2025. A new bathhouse is on site, and the pool facilities have been updated. The renovated pool also features diving boards, a zipline, and a slide.

The building in Comba Park is home to BUGS (Boise Urban Garden School). BUGS provides garden education, cooking classes and community garden management in partnership with the City of Boise.

Amenities include a community garden, playground, pollinator garden and splash pad. 

Discovery Park, located in south Meridian at 2121 E. Lake Hazel Road, between Eagle and Locust Grove Roads, is Meridian's newest regional park. At approximately 64 acres in size, this park boasts several of Meridian's most unique and exciting amenities.

The park’s features include a playground and splash pad; a sand and water play area; dual zip lines, roller slides, and a small climbing wall. Its Active Area featuring six pickleball courts and two tennis courts dual-striped for pickleball; bocce ball courts; a 40-yard dash challenge; and basketball courts. The park’s Teen Area has a skatepark, a sand volleyball court, hammock poles, and a shelter with WiFi. The park's attractions also include a bike park and pump track; three additional softball fields (two of which can be illuminated for nighttime play); public art pieces and artisan-made benches; picnic shelters; a restroom/concession building; paved walking paths; and room for a future community garden.

Eagle Island State Park is a 545-acre park west of Boise. Bordered on the north and south by the Boise River, Eagle Island features a swimming beach, grassy picnic area and more than five miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking or walking your dog.

A 19-hole disc golf course provides a challenge for players.

Esther Simplot Park, an expansive 55-acre site encompassing approximately 23 acres of ponds suitable for fishing, wading and swimming. Park amenities include open play areas, wetlands, two reservable shelters, Friendship Island, a playground and restrooms.

In Esther Simplot Park and ponds, service animals welcome. No pets per city code.

The 7-acre neighborhood park is located on the Boise Bench between Cole and Milwaukee St. next to Morley Nelson Elementary School and Community Center. Park amenities include a playground, non-reservable picnic shelter, tennis courts, restrooms and a municipal pool. The shelter is available on a first come, first served basis.

Heritage Park features a Gazebo and a ground level water feature that is a hit with children in the summertime. The Gazebo is available for public use and features entertainment events during the summer evenings. Also featured in this Park are monogrammed brick pavers.

 Water Feature at Heritage Park Closed for 2024 and 2025: 

Due to the construction with the Downtown Mobility Improvement Project: Eagle Road and State Street, the water feature at Heritage Park will be closed for 2024 and 2025. If you are interested in using a park water feature, please use Reid W. Merrill Park or Stephen C. Guerber Park. 

Located in Riverside Park, the Homedale Community Swimming Pool is open through the summer. Enjoy open swim times or take advantage of the swimming lessons offered for all age groups. Contact City Hall for hours of operation.

Indian Creek Plaza, in the heart of downtown, is Caldwell’s living room. Formal introductions aren’t necessary, all are welcome, and acquaintances and travelers alike become family. With over 200 events and activities held annually, there is always something going on. Indian Creek Plaza features splash pads in the summer and an outdoor ice ribbon in the winter, giving families the chance to enjoy each other’s company over food, music, and games. Visitors to the Plaza can expect diverse events - from farmers’ markets and concerts to local food and drink festivals. Indian Creek Plaza is owned by the City and Caldwell and managed by Destination Caldwell.

Ivywild Park is approximately 18 acres. The park's most recognizable feature is the outdoor pool, which includes a toddler pool and slides.

Other amenities including a walking path, tennis courts, playground, skate spot, softball fields, soccer fields, restrooms, open play areas and a reservable picnic shelter.

The Kuna Splash Pad is located between the ball fields and the greenbelt parking lot on Swan Falls Road. Remember, the bucket is set on a 5 minute interval & if the water shuts off just hit the button to start the fun over!

Lake Lowell Park is located at 12996 Iowa Avenue, Nampa, on the Upper Dam (east side) of Lake Lowell. Canyon County Parks has owned this 20-acre park since 1970. Amenities include: picnic tables, BBQ grills, restrooms, water fountain, disc golf course, and story trail.

• Amenities at Lake Lowell Park are available on a first-come, first-served basis: we do not offer reservations for park space or picnic tables.
• Bounce houses and inflatables are prohibited at Lake Lowell Park.
• Pets are permitted on a six-foot leash.
• Lake Lowell Park is open year-round, dawn to dusk. No overnight parking or camping is permitted at this park.

Lake Lowell Park is bordered by the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge. To plan your visit to the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, and to check the rules and regulations, visit their website. Built by the Bureau of Reclamation to provide irrigation water for Canyon County agriculture, Lake Lowell opened in 1909 and is one of the largest off-stream reservoirs in the American west, with the capacity to irrigate over 200,000 acres of land. It has also become a popular recreation destination for the county’s citizens and visitors. Boating, swimming and fishing are among the many activities that folks enjoy at this beautiful oasis in southwest Idaho. Bird watching, hiking and hunting are other recreation options due to the presence of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s Deer Flat National Refuge, also established in 1909. As part of the wildlife refuge, recreation on Lake Lowell’s shoreline and waters may be subject to seasonal restrictions. Motorized and Non-motorized boating are allowed April 15 to September 30. Human-powered boats are allowed 200 yards in front of the Upper and Lower Dams between October 1 and April 14. The rest of the lake is set aside for migrating and wintering wildlife.

Nestled in Lions Park along Davis Avenue is the community based Lincoln Pool. It is a great hangout spot for families with children of all ages. Families, kids, and teens will have fun playing through the spouting and spraying on-deck water toys, jumping off the diving board or diving into the deep end. A separate 1 to 1.5 foot deep kids’ pool is the perfect place for toddlers to enjoy the hot summer days.

If you like fun in the sun, the beach at Sandy Point is the place for you and your family. Enjoy a dip in the cool water after a scenic bike ride on the Boise River Greenbelt! This 34-acre site at the base of Lucky Peak Dam features a large sandy swimming area complete with water toys and two beach volleyball courts. Sandy Point offers lots of cool grass and shady trees. 

In 2007 the City of Nampa purchased 52 acres of land for the purpose of a multi-use park that has an emphasis on baseball and softball fields. The Park is in west Nampa on Midway Road and Smith Avenue. In 2015 the Midway Park Master Plan was approved by Nampa City Council and the Parks Department was given direction to start building the park. Construction of the first phase started in 2016.

Currently, the park offers four baseball/softball fields, six pickleball courts, soccer fields, futsal court, basketball court, outdoor fitness gym, a large picnic shelter, 1/2 mile fitness trail, green space and restrooms.  Children enjoy the large playground that has swings, slides, climbers and spinners.  Future phases of the park will be built as funding is available.

Molenaar Park is a 20-acre park located at 2815 S Maple Grove Road between Victory and Targee Streets.  

Amenities include a perimeter walking path, playground, skate park, restroom, non-reservable shelter, fenced off-leash dog park, pond, splash pad and sports fields/open play area.

Molenaar Park is an on-leash park. Please pick up and leash your dog at all times, unless you are using the fully fenced dog off-leash area (opened July 2020).

The Natatorium is located on the city bus line at 1811 E. Warm Springs Ave behind Adams Elementary School. Here you can enjoy the pool, diving boards, wading pool for children 6 and under when accompanied by an adult and a concession stand. The facility also features a fun, fast and safe water slide with a splashdown pool. Extra fees apply for the Hydrotube.

Splash Pads are open between the hours of 9am-9pm from Memorial Day weekend (May) through Labor Day weekend (September) weather permitting. 

You haven’t lived if you haven’t run through the fountain at The Grove Plaza! Because it’s situated at ground level, children and dogs love to play in it, and you’ll even catch adults biking through on a hot day. The enhanced fountain has a dozen programmed routines, including a mist feature, as well as integrated lighting effects for evening shows and night time ambiance. The fountain is in operation 8:00am-11:00pm, 7 days a week, May – October (weather permitting).
